Tasty Taco Pie
I found this recipe in Cincinnati’s Habitat for Humanity’s 25th Service Anniversary Cookbook which I purchased earlier this year. I changed it up slightly.
I made it for dinner and my men really liked it! My son said, “This is very good!” See what you think….
Ingredients
1 – 8 oz. package refrigerated crescent rolls
1 pound ground beef (browned and greased drained)
1 – 1 oz. package of taco seasoning mix
16 oz. sour cream
8 oz. shredded Mexican-style cheese blend
13 oz. crushed tortilla chips
What To Do
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Lay crescent rolls flat on the bottom of a square cake pan.
Bake 11- 13 minutes.
Add taco mix to brown ground beef and stir well.
When dough is done, remove from oven and place meat mixture on top.
Layer with sour cream and cheese.
Top with crushed chips.
Return to oven and bake an additional 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
Enjoy!

I like that this calls for crescent rolls. And crushed tortillas on the top. Usually you see this type of thing with cornbread mix–which is good, but standard. Yours is a different and exciting spin on taco pie. I like! Visting from Foodie Friday.
Hi Michelle! The cornbread mix sounds great too! I will have to try that next time I make taco pie! Thanks for stopping by!
