Sweet Temptations – Mexican Wedding Cookies
WELCOME TO SWEET TEMPTATIONS!
I’m going to share the recipe for Mexican Wedding Cookies, which are my favorite Christmas cookies. These are delicious, are great for cookie exchanges and make a great gift.
Ingredients:
- 1 cups butter (softened)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1/2 cup sifted powdered sugar
- 2 cups flour
- 1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
- Additional powered sugar to roll cookies into
Directions:
- Cream butter, 1/2 cup powdered sugar and vanilla.
- Into a separate bowl, combine flour, pecans and salt.
- Stir flour mixture into creamed butter mixture.
- Shape dough into 3/4 inch balls and place on ungreased baking sheet.
- Bake for 20 to 25 minutes in a 325 degree oven until lightly browned.
- Roll hot cookies in the additional powdered sugar.
Enjoy!
