Simple and Healthy Crockpot Meal
My wonderful (and practical) son got me some crock pot liners for Christmas. (Hum? Wonder what he was trying to tell me. That I should cook more? Nope, he’s simply trying to make my life easier.)
Looking forward to a very easy cleanup, I put together the following simple and healthy crock pot meal.
Ingredients:
8-10 potatoes, peeled and cut into pieces
2 (14.5 oz) cans green beans
13 oz Polska Kielbasa (cut into pieces)
1 (12 oz) can of lite beer
Directions:
Place liner in crock pot.
Add first three ingredients then pour in beer.
Cook 3-5 hours high.
Enjoy!

Oh, I LOVE this! I used to make something similar when I ran a cafe, and it was a favorite. Instead of beer, I used cream of mushroom soup. Thanks for reminding me about this easy recipe; it’s perfect for winter. I’ll have to try adding the beer instead.
Cheers,
Tracy

I make a recipe like this, but in the oven.It is a favorite of my family.I have been making it for years.A friend gave me the recipe. It is called”country chicken”.It is a recipe that can be made to fit how many you have to feed.It is also good leftover. The potatoes on bottom, chicken, smoked sausage ,onions, bell peppers, water, salt, pepper, oregano and green beans on top .Layers in sprayed dish.Bake at 350 for about one hour depending on how much is in dish.My family calls it garbage-but it is a very good to eat garbage. It could be done in slow cooker too.A dish of rice on the side and it is some good eating.
simple as they say but it sounds so great…thanks for sharing your recipe! visiting from FTF, see you around.

Yum. I do something similar in the skillet, but no beer…great idea! Thanks for sharing at Church Supper. Have a blessed week and see you again next Sunday!
I will have to try this with the green beans. I usually cook kelbasi with cabbage, carrots and potatoes in water. It is really good.

Does the beer allow enough liquid for a crock pot recipe?
