Organizing the Dining Room Table
I bought a basket a while ago to use to organize the paperwork and other “clutter” that was piling up on my dining room table.
Since the weather has turned warm, my de-cluttering projects have taken a back seat. In my own defense, I spend a lot of time working outside in the yard, cutting grass, trimming bushes, pulling weeds, watering flowers, etc. It seems to never end. I’m not complaining, I enjoy being outside and working in the yard. But it does take up a lot of my time. And there is the swimming pool, weekend get-aways, cook-outs, graduation parties, birthday parties and vacations too.
Today, however, it was just too hot to work outside. In fact, I went outside early today to water the flowers and that was it!!
What a great day to finally work on getting my dining room table de-cluttered.! So I did.
First, I put away items that had no business on the table. Then I pitched a bunch old receipts and paperwork that I no longer needed.
I didn’t take a “before” picture. Instead I took a picture of all of the paper work I pitched and a picture of the basket containing all the items I kept. Amazingly, they all fit in the basket quite nicely.
I am participating in the 52 Weeks of Organizing Challenge hosted by Laura at Orgjunkie, and Organizing Mission Monday at Organize with Sandy. Please check them out to find other organizing projects.

I always wonder just why it’s so hard to actually put things where they belong over just plopping them down some place!
I worked on paperwork yesterday. I spend a lot of time outdoors too. In fact it has been rainy the past couple of days and I need to get out and work. It is starting to look a little gray out there, so it may be another inside day!
Sounds like you are using your time wisely! Keep up the good work! Thanks so much for stopping by!
